Is the youth of India swayed by the use of social media in politics

India is a young nation. The demography of its population is such that youth (18-35yrs) accounts for the 40%, which is a huge number. In addition, even more important is22% of its population comprises of preteens or teens (10-18), which brings the median age of this nation to 25.1 years. The world is seeing the advent of technology where a turn up of each New Year is equivalent to a decade. This new and upcoming generation could be termed as the Tech Savvy who aspires for the best and latest thing the tech grid has to offer. This new breed has a hunger for the data, any data irrespective of the nature turning them into one of its kind in the goose chase.
In the midst of all these the most growing and popular among the tech-savvy generation is social media, which has given the voice to even the introverts of the society. It has created a virtual world for them. People want to express their opinion at everything that is happening around them. This social media has brought the world a click away from the user. The person sitting in front of a monitor in one corner of the world condemns an attack in the other part. These information mongers monitor every minute detail. The upheaval of governments in Egypt, the formation and support for AAP is a result of such social media outrage. Social media had all the details of Anna and his comrades like who are they and what they stand for. The movement that started in Delhi got support from every corner of the nation being it metropolitans or towns, and this support owes itself to these various social platforms. Moreover, the best example is 2014 General elections in the nation where the same social media generated a slogan “Abki Baar Modi Sarkar”, which resulted in a shocking outcome as the 10-year rule of Congress came to a halt. This was not only the case with politics even in social issues; people have come upfront on various platforms to voice their opinion. Whether it is a rape case, women empowerment, farmer suicides, section 377 or government swindles, the people have come to the fore to express themselves. These platforms are turning out to be the new kingmakers. PR agencies are using them to their best interest.
As the saying goes, every coin has two sides; there are even cons to these social media platform. There is no authentication of the information provided on these platforms and the users on this un-authenticated info are rather carried away in giving a verdict than making an opinion. There have been incidents when people with not so good intention used it for their mean purposes. Putting a post to hurt somebody’s sentiment or provoking them against another community just to create a nuisance are just mere examples. Sometimes even a single post of its kind might result into havoc. So whether its politician making provocative racists speeches or mudslinging on their rivals or creation of sentimental vibes for the culprit or the vice versa, the data is placed on such platforms without any integrity.
I understand that everyone has the right to speech or can have their say or opinion, but then there should be a check for restricting radical persons for using these platforms for their mean goals. A country like India where people are too sensitive about their caste creed and religion it is easy to put something on to create tension between two communities. People using such platforms have to be sensible enough whether to discard information or not. So on the long run moderation of these platforms has to be the main concern. Do it either by having a moderator or by asking the platform owners as in the case of China. Moderation of social media might be an uphill task, but then that is the need of the hour to maintain the diversity of this nation.

Fergie : A living Legend

Its been a long time since my last post. And this has not been the 1st time and Damn I don't have for heavens sake that many followers so cut the crap....

Don't want to enter into posting a silly reasons that why I stopped..

For past two weeks have been hearing a lot about a person whom I respect a lot. I know when people start doing something they have three sets of people one who follow them and the others who criticize them but there is one small group who doesn't give about them.

But why started today after a sabbatical of nearly 15 months is not to preach about followers or non followers.

Was talking about the person who I admire a lot and he is Sir Alex Ferguson . He's the Manager of  Manchester United F.C and have been serving there for past 26 years. He's been in the headlines since joining the club in November 1986 to be precise on 6th of that month. He has made the club a Brand during his reign here. but its not been a easy road for him as his critics believe that he uses his influence to make his side win games(Like they are the solicitor to decide).Seriously I don't get the point why they have to do that. If they have to criticize then they should but about his tactics and the involvement in the game and the way he is managing his players. By stating that he's using his influence they are telling that players had no role in doing so. It was who brought talent with the likes of Cantona, Ince, Sheringham, Barthez, Nistelrooy, Ferdinand, Ronaldo, Rooney where as he has been spotting the talent in MUFC's own backyard whether its Fergie's Fledglings to the recent addition of Welbeck, Cleverly, Evans. He has been the best brain the business.

I am not a die hard follower of the football and won't come up with the stories that I started watching this game I was goood at it. No I am as lethargic as Kumbh Karna and like him has devoted my till date life after food and sleep.

I started watching Football as my uncle used to watch that and it was those days when there used to be no separate TV in every room of the house as it is now. And if you reach the TV remote 1st then you are the master it was the simple rule which was followed and God knows how it used to happen but on the match days somehow my uncle was to be the 1st one to reach there.

It started and there were this person into his young 20's donning a long hair(I always wanted them but never had) and red t-shirt with the number 7 on it seriously last two were that I had really close link with as red was the color I loved most and 7 was that dreadful date when I was conceived. It was David Beckham.
Will write something about him some other day. It was then my uncle explained me Futbaal and told me that this club is known as RED DEVILS. (again red)but then there could be the argument that REDS were donning red and even GUNNERS had red in their kit but seriously it was just these reasons. .
I was attached to the club as the years passed and then the number seven left the club as he was sold on his differences with the Fergie. Then I started thinking why the hell he has the problem with that and who the hell
he was. I researched and found that this person joined the mid rank league team and has now made it global brand. And that was the reason I started following him just to observe and don't know why but started.

His persona left me bewildered. As a league team manager whatever honors are there to be won he has it all in his shelf and that too more than once. A person who has respect even in the hearts of his rivals just leave the day when they are up against him. He has given the 26 years of his life to the club that shows his loyalty and the honors in his shelf shows he's the best tactical manager available and a living legend. He has injected the "never say never" attitude. It was under him that club brought the great Cantona to this club. It was his injected belief that in the 1998-99 season even being behind for well 85 minutes in the final the club ended the match in the last 3 minutes by scoring two goals and leaving Bayern players literary crying on the field.
He led to the 1st treble of the club since its inception. He has made opposition to be on its feet as you never know what can happen in the dying minutes with him as in charge. It during his reign that club has won 12 league titles and while doing so becoming club who has won it for the record 19 times. By far he's the best than his contemporaries. A living Legend!! The best example to prove it that every other single Manager available on the picture today wants their feet in his boots.

But then it was this friend of mine who passed this idiotic comment that he uses his influence to win and he is not a genius. It was the time I wanted to rip his apart in the emotions but then being lethargic its the tough job.
But I reasoned why and then he cited the reason to support his out of the world idiotic comment of his till date that his team never get the decisions against him(but he's a manager damn fool not the referee) and he uses his money to lure the best in the club(CC he's been given the job to do that ).
I am his fan since the first day I started watching his club taking the pitch on the 20'' BPL(btw colored)  and Am 24 today and if I get a chance to be the official in match I would be bias but then he don't need to come to me and say that.
There are referees who have went on air to comment that sometimes they become lenient when they are officiating the match with their fav player playing. Its human tendency. Messi wasn't booked for an offence and wasn't even cautioned by the referee for which hes has just shown the yellow to the opponent team. If you say about Torres getting a red for simulation where as he was tackled by Jones then I tell you that spainiard has his image of diver in the mindset of each official.
And when it comes to spending money than everyone out their know who has more money. And if Devils have the money to spend then why shouldn't they. And those(Chelsea and ManCity) club have won 4 times out of the 9 available titles( As Chelsea was bought by  Roman Abramovic in summer 2003) and Devils had 4 and was to GUNNERS as they were the famous invincible in the 2003-04 season.
But then whatever be the case he's doing the job for the club and at the end of the day only that matters. This can go on till eternity of him praising and criticizing so rather than giving such comments enjoy the game and pray that DEVILS win it again this season.
